So who are they?
While none of the actors are household names right now, they’ve all done some impressive work in the last few years. Kate Mara can be seen right now in the American remake of House of Cards. Miles Teller’s biggest flick has probably been 21 and Over, but he’s also shown a lot of a range in The Spectacular Now. Jamie Bell has a number of films to his credit, including Jumper, Filth, and Dear Wendy. Michael B. Jordan was in the well-received Chronicle, as well as a slew of TV shows including The Wire.
Jordan will be reuniting with his Chronicle director, Josh Trank, who is directing this reboot.
Rumors suggest Michael B. Jordan and Kate Mara have locked down their roles as Johnny and Sue Storm, while the studio has offers out to Miles Teller and Jamie Bell.
The film is said to be drawing inspiration from Ultimate Fantastic Four, a comic series launched in 2004 that portrayed younger, re-vamped versions of the characters. While this casting makes sense for portraying a younger version of the team, it should be noted that most of them are only two or three years younger than the cast members of the 2005 Fantastic Four.
So how does this cast stack up against the previous casting?
The Fantastic Four reboot is due out July 19th, 2015.
